4.4 x 3.3 x 1.8 cm. Several excellent, sharp, lustrous, gem/gemmy, rich orange-red, tabular Wulfenite crystals sit atop a mound of contrasting brown Limonite with associated grey Quartz. The largest Wulfenite crystal measures 2.1 cm across. This specimen is in great shape despite one tiny contact on the upper right hand side of the large crystal group. The color of these crystals is really superb, and there are some electric internal reflections that can be seen when the piece is rotated in the light. A fine specimen from one of the single most important localities in the Western United States. This locality has been completely buried and never will be mined again. This piece came from one of the few parts of the Red Cloud mine that produced the highly sought after gem "window pane" habit crystals. From the 150’ level. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
