Locality: East Mount Apatite District, Auburn, Androscoggin Co., Maine, USA

38 carat pear cut gemstone cut by Clifford Greene; Portland, Maine
Whisp of smokey quartz "on surface" of table.
Possible radiation burning

Located 2004 on trail up to Greenlaw: below large boulder,in rain runoff cut, 10" down...

3 side stones totalling 15 carats were also cut.
Two mounted in pendants; One with deep blue Montana sapphire accent,
14kt yellow gold and another, mounted in 14kt white gold with Maine garnet accent.
The third stone is in reserve and will be mounted in yellow gold with tourmaline accent.
