Muscovite

Locality: Whitehorse Mining District, Yukon Territory, Canada

Pseudomorph specimen with a cluster of blocky plagioclase crystals to 3 cm in size replaced by whitish to light peach micro crystalline muscovite. The crystals are relatively hard with a glassy luster in spots, suggesting the replacement is not complete.

Don Windeler collection, acquired 2007 from Dan Weinrich. Previously in the collection of Don Belsher.
