Locality: Elmwood mine, Carthage, Central Tennessee Ba-F-Pb-Zn District, Smith Co., Tennessee, USA
CALCITE Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Tennessee
Triangular plate of intergrown yellow-white calcite crystals approximately 15 cm on a side. Perched on one corner is a large 12 cm amber colored, twinned [0001] scalenohedral crystal. Also on the plate are two smaller gemmy amber xls, 5 & 4 cm.
