Locality: Pein Pyit (Painpyit; Pyan Pyit), Mogok Township, Pyin-Oo-Lwin District, Mandalay Division, Burma (Myanmar)

Translucent ruby-red spinel crystals without matrix. The crystals are twinned in the classic Spinel-law with the twin plane easily visible. The surface is lustrous with irregular depressions. No damage. Overall size of mineral specimen: 17x15x11 mm. Size of individual crystals: 17 mm.
