This is an outstanding single crystal, on matrix, that is complete all around. The very good luster and sharp crystal form make it surprisingly attractive for a black mineral. Considering that most Gahnites you see referenced are micros, you realize what a killer thumb this really is. And the classic, historic locality is a bonus, anyhow. 2.3 x 2.2 x 1.7 cm
