Gold, Fluorite

Locality: Hercules Mine, Mt Read, Williamsford, Rosebery district, Tasmania, Australia

Much of the gold from this mine is very pale in colour, being quite silver-rich. It is also an unusual occurrence in that the gold occurs in fluorite. This specimen is a darker yellow than many from the mine, and the photo width is 9mm.
