Note: The mineral species Vesuvianite is not listed in our database for this locality. This specimen may be misidentified or the mindat list of minerals at this locality may be incomplete.

A really nice little mcro specimen of vesuvianite for which the label says Inverell, New South Wales. I am a bit skeptical of this. One of the better localties for vesuvianite in New South Wales is Barraba. However, I cannot check as the specimen came to me from Joan Lamond who in turn got it from the late Karl Schultz. Photo width is 4mm.
