Locality: Laghman Province (Lagman Province; Nuristan), Afghanistan

Uncommon matrix specimen of spodumene crystals up to 7 cm long in matrix with quartz crystals up to 6 cm. The spodumene, when viewed on end, has zone of purple-pink (kunzite) mixed with colorless areas. No damage to the spodumene. Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x7x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-7 cm.
