Polylithionite, Aegirine


Polylithionite : KLi2Al[(F,OH)2|Si4O10], Aegirine : NaFe3+[Si2O6]

Pearly hexagonal polylithionite crystals to 1 cm with elongated black aegirine crystals to 2 cm. A rare mineral for this locality. Fluoresces yellow-white under UV illumination. Overall size of mineral specimen: 3x1.5x1 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-20 mm.
