Hibonite : (Ca,Ce)(Al,Fe,Ti,Si,Mg)₁₂O₁₉

Locality: Amboasary Department, Anosy (Fort Dauphin) Region, Tuléar (Toliara) Province, Madagascar

These laminated blades have a superb luster and jet-black color. On careful examination, you can see a resplendent radial growth on the faces of the blades. An excellent thumb of a rare mineral, and of good size for the species. 1.7 x 1.3 x .7 cm
