This unusual rhodo specimen really stands out from a crowd for its shocking lack of normal crystalline symmetry, and yet it is still "geometrically" sculptural and appealing in that it is formed of such perfectly round spheres. This is a rare habit, from the early 1980s, and it is of a style that is quite desirable for this reason, to complement the relatively more common scalenohedral forms. This is the best example of the habit that I have seen for sale in recent years. It is complete 360 degrees around the display face, above and below. The back is simply manganese matrix , some of which peeks out form behind the rhodo balls. 6 x 4 x 3.25 cm
