Locality: Mundarara Mine, Longido, Mt Kilimanjaro, Kilimanjaro Region, Tanzania

Superb specimen of deep-red ruby crystal in matrix. The crystal has exceptional lustre and is beautifully exposed showing growth zones. Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x6x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5 cm.
