Locality: Owanka, Pennington Co., South Dakota, USA

Golden barite crystals on Yellow calcite from Owanka, SD, south of the famous Elk Creek location. Specimen size estimated at over 15 inches tall (was in glass case & unable to measure); specimen in the collection of the Museum of Geology at the South Dakota School of Mines at Rapid City, SD; photo taken mid-August 2011.
