I have been buying these whenever I see them, because they are so unique for a species normally dismissed as boring. They came out a few years ago: gemmy crystals with a distinct blue stripe (zoning) running right down the middle! Kyanite is usually an opaque, rather boring mineral buried in quartz, but these “blue stripe” crystals are something else! It is sometimes hard to tell whether these are terminated or not, as the terminations as rather rough naturally, but this one does have AT LEAST one termination. BETTER IN PERSON - the pic did not come out very well. 6.3 x 0.8 x 0.4 cm
