Locality: Capillitas Mine, Andalgalá Department, Catamarca, Argentina

Polished section of a rhodochrosite stalactite with concentric growth patterns around several small center cores. The section has a fracture near one edge, but it does not run completely through and is stable. Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x8x.8 cm. Size of individual crystals: -.
