Alto Chapare 1997

Locality: Alto Chapare District, Chapare Province, Cochabamba Department, Bolivia

The Chapare river near Villa Tunari town. This is the dry season. A lot of explorers and those looking for minerals use the dry season and the exposed river banks to penetrate the jungle. It is a lot easier getting around that way than beating your way through the jungle. During the rainy season you would need a boat of course.
