Locality Updated: Myall Lakes Reserve, Bolton, Victoria, AustraliaFrom Pat Sutton, 23rd May 2013 01:30:19

A real jewel Garnet var. Grossular with green phantoms. The crystals are super gemmy, with deep emerald-green cores, which are apparently the result of an introduction of Chromium surrounded by transparent, colorless areas. Dodecahedral sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. Very hard to find one of these now. This is of truly superior quality. Green cored Garnets are among the most unusual and rare Jeffrey mine Garnets. Damage free.
