Locality: Anaconda Mine (St. Lawrence; Neversweat), Berkeley Pit, Butte, Butte District (Summit Valley District), Silver Bow Co., Montana, USA

Large mass of iridescent blue-black covellite with brassy pyrite crystals mixed in. See the special Butte issue of Min. Rec. v. 33, no. 1 (Jan.-Feb. 2002). Ex. Earle Sullivan collection (Ct.). Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x8x3 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-15 mm.
