Locality: Soda Lake, Carrizo Plain, San Luis Obispo Co., California, USA

Large plate of pink halite crystals on colorless to pale yellow matrix of bloedite(?) or thenardite(?). Large dramatic specimen with attractive pink color. From my personal collection. Overall size of mineral specimen: 40x23x8cm. Size of individual crystals: 1-15 mm.
