Blue micro-crystals of azurite on a mounted specimen I obtained at the CMMA Symposium in Ste. Catharines, Ontario on May 5th, 2012. The label (in Italian- Azzurrite xlli) carries a catalog number 36.86 and a date of 18 Genn (January) 1986. FOV is about 2 mm in length.

The washed out blue color seems to be an artifact of the LED ring lighting I use to illuminate the microscope stage and take digital photos. The crystals are a much deeper and darker blue.
