Locality: Galactic Open Pit, Summitville, Summitville District (Summit District), Rio Grande Co., Colorado, USA

Sharp, bladed crystals of purple-black covellite on matrix. All crystals are distinct, well developed and undamaged. Mounted in a 2x3 inch acrylic display box for protection. Overall size of mineral specimen: 5x5x2 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-15 mm.
