Locality: Laghman Province (Lagman Province; Nuristan), Afghanistan

Spectacular large pink elbaite tourmaline with thin green termination zone. The sides are comprised of many parallel crystals, some shorter than full height. The back side (contact faces) and bottom (terminated) are partially encrusted with white albite. Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x5x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 8 cm.
