Tetrahedrite, Quartz, Bournonite, Pyrite, Sphalerite


Tetrahedrite : (Cu,Fe,Ag,Zn)12Sb4S13, Quartz : SiO2, Bournonite : PbCuSbS3, Pyrite : FeS2, Sphalerite : (Zn,Fe2+)S

A long triangular flat of sulphide has been built up with several generations of needle quartz, calcite, tetrahedrite, bournonite, pyrite, and sphalerite; also present are chalcopyrite, galena and pyrrhotite. Over the specimen there are excellent examples of crystallation of all the sulphides mentioned.
