Locality: Garnet Ledge, Wrangell, Wrangell Island, Wrangell-Petersburg Borough, Alaska, USA

Single crystal of wine-red almandine garnet without matrix from the famous Alaskan locality. Some areas show translucent red below the surface. Nice crystal, from an old location. Overall size of mineral specimen: 25x22x22 mm. Size of individual crystals: 22 mm.
