This is one of the most spectacular Illinois fluorite crystals I have seen! In addition to its prodigious size, the pics just cannot capture the AMAZING bright blue, sharply outlined zoning inside! The best way to show this specimen would be to put it on a simple lighted stand that sends light up into the crystal – it is truly amazing. Hold it up to a light and the interior just GLOWS. The crystal is in GREAT shape, with only one small corner ding that is not significant relative to the size of the specimen, and PRISTINE everywhere else. Just on size alone, this would be an amazing crystal of ANY mineral! But a beautifully zoned Illinois fluorite – well, so much the better! These are vanishing from the market rapidly to be sure, but even durin gthe mines' heyday you did not see large crystals of this size and showiness very often. 11.5 x 10.5 x 10 cm
