Realgar, Baryte


Realgar : As4S4, Baryte : BaSO4

A matrix of quartz and boulangerite is host for a mass of arrow shaped barite crystal terminations - the largest being 6.5cm from waist to tip and 1.5cm thick. The barite is tansparent with cleavage planes and appears to have grown in 2 generations with inclusions of realgar and stibnite within the second generation.
