Locality: Ilmen Natural Reserve, Ilmen Mts, Chelyabinsk Oblast', Southern Urals, Urals Region, Russia

Many hexagonal sapphire crystals in white feldspar matrix. The sapphire color varies from darker gray in the core to baby-blue in the outer zones. Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x4x2.5 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-15 mm.
