Locality: Ton Mawr Quarry, Taff's Well, Cardiff (Mid Glamorgan; Glamorgan), Wales, UK

Yellow to reddish calcite crystals on plate of matrix. The crystals are well defined with slight growth pattern striations on the surface. Selective faces have reddish color, probably due to inclusions (hematite?). No damage. Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x5x3 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-10 mm.
