Locality: Michigamme Mine (Mt Shasta mine), Michigamme, Marquette iron range, Marquette Co., Michigan, USA

Old specimen of chamosite pseudomorph after an elongated almandine crystal 4.5 cm long. This specimen originated in an old museum collection (#6433 painted on bottom). Excellent large crystal. Overall size of mineral specimen: 4.5x3x2.5 cm. Size of individual crystals: 4.5 cm.
