Locality: Lookout Mt, Montreat, Buncombe Co., North Carolina, USA
17x7x5cm specimen of kyanite in quartz. The kyanite crystal is 15cm long and exhibits weak folding as well as splitting along cleavage planes. Obtained from float downslope from the kyanite outcrop. Collected by, photographed by, and in the collection of Keith Wood.
