This deposit, discovered less than ten years ago, is noted for huge amethyst crystal groups, composed of huge individual crystals such as this one - to my mind, the world's finest large amethyst crystals in this size range! It is more unusual to find clusters of this size (useable for most collectors) as opposed to large plates with lots of damage. This one is very classy, elegant, cluster. It is complete all around 360 degrees of the termination and also of the body, except for a contact on the back lower portion. The large crystal somewhat resembles a pineapple with multiple side terminations adding a lot of character. It is a very rich, top quality color for the find and has excellent translucency, too . 1360 grams in weight 16.2 x 10.1 x 9.5 cm
