Locality: Wannenköpfe, Ochtendung, Polch, Eifel Mts, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
New for the Wannenköpfe: Obertiite, small (0,2mm) pink crystals. Obertiite is a rather new (2000) mineral from the Amphibole group. It occurs with Sanidine, often Tridymite, and sometimes with Titanite and Pyroxene. Type locality: Bellerberg. Named after Roberta Oberti of Pavia, Italy. Wannenköpfe near Ochtendung. With thanks to Günter Blass (Eschweiler) for analysing the specimen.
