Locality: Coscuez Mine (Cosquez Mine), Mun. de Muzo, Vasquez-Yacopí Mining District, Boyacá Department, Colombia

Bright green emerald crystals in white calcite matrix. The green color is very intense and is the best color for emerald. The crystal was frozen in matrix in two sections separated 3 mm apart - a result of metamorphic deformation. No damage, very gemmy. Overall size of mineral specimen: 35x30x25 mm. Size of individual crystals: 25 mm.
