Zircon, Calcite, Aegirine

Locality: Gilgit, Gilgit District, Gilgit-Baltistan (Northern Areas), Pakistan

A very gemmy, high quality zircon with aegirine, on a cream colored calcite matrix from Pakistan. The color of the sharp, tetragonal crystal is a deep translucent amber to cognac, contrasting beautifully with the tan colored matrix. 3/4 x 5/8 x 1/4 inches. www.freilichminerals.com
