Locality: Calumet, Calumet Township, Houghton Co., Michigan, USA

Translucent calcite with native copper inclusions. The calcite prevents the copper from oxidizing, keeping the copper a bright metallic color. Overall size of mineral specimen: 5x5x3.5 cm. Size of individual crystals: 3-10 mm.
