Columbite-(Mn) : (Mn,Fe)(Nb,Ta)₂O₆, Albite : Na[AlSi₃O₈]

Locality: Darra-i-Pech (Darra-e-Pech) Pegmatite Field, Nangarhar (Ningarhar) Province, Afghanistan

COLUMBITE var. Manganocolumbite, on Cleavelandite, Pech, Kunar Province, Afghanistan. Four black tabular manganocolumbite crystals (species identified by EDS) up to 2 cm on a wedge shaped matrix of albite. The two largest crystals are intergrown. 11x6x4 cm overall.
