Locality: Mawi pegmatite, Nilaw-Kolum pegmatite field, Du Ab District, Nuristan Province (Nurestan Province; Nooristan Province; Nuristan), Afghanistan
MANGANOTANTALITE with Quartz and Cleavelandite, Mawi, Laghman Province, Afghanistan. A well formed tabular, black crystal, 2.7 cm long, perched in front of two large pale smokey quartz crystals and next to a bed of cleavelandite. Minor amounts of muscovite and beryl are present in the matrix. 12x10x7 cm overall.
