Locality: Patagonia, Argentina

Note: The mineral species Rock Crystal is not listed in our database for this locality. This specimen may be misidentified or the mindat list of minerals at this locality may be incomplete.

Water-clear, doubly-terminated quartz crystal fully crystallized on all surfaces (a floater). Has inclusions of black hydrocarbon and hollow voids with crystal faces (negative crystals). No damage. Collected in 1996 by Luis de los Santos. Overall size of mineral specimen: 28x20x20 mm. Size of individual crystals: 28 mm.
