Locality: Konar (Kunar; Konarh; Konarha; Nuristan) Province, Afghanistan
Single crystal of translucent elbaite tourmaline, with complex termination on the top. The outer green layer surrounds a pink center giving the watermelon name. Overall size of mineral specimen: 23x19x18 mm. Size of individual crystals: 23 mm.
