Often referred to as the "Freilich Novachekite", this super fine world class specimen is regarded by most as the number one example of the species extant. Dr. Steven Neely owned the specimen for a number of years, after which it passed to mineral dealer Bryan Lees, and was sold to Joseph Freilich in 1998. At the Sotheby's auction of the Freilich mineral collection, only a photo was available, given the radioactive properties of the specimen. The specimen was sold to a party in the UK several months after the auction closed. Measures 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 x 1 1/2 inches. Formerly in the Joseph A. Freilich Mineral Collection, now in the collection of a party in the UK who remains anonymous. gemcrystals@aol.com
