Locality: Dallas Gem Mine (Benitoite Mine; Benitoite Gem Mine), New Idria District, San Benito Co., California, USA
Large crystal (30.1 carats) with deep violet-blue color at the edges fading to colorless near the center. Crystal faces are glassy and well-defined, with unusually large "mu" faces. Overall dimensions = 23 mm x 15 mm x 11 mm.
