Typical colour and appearance of this thorite variety - orange-brown rounded grains with conchoidal partition and strong lustre. Fe2O3 content in this ferrithorite is within limits 20.0-24.1 % (according to V.A. Tyugashev analytical data). Specimen size is 5x4x2 cm, and its radioactivity is 600 μR/h. Ferrithorite grains are embedded in fluorite-feldspar rock, which form small pipe-like body. Selfcollected in August 1990 on Hatuugiin occurrence in 25 km N from Khaldzan Buragtag massif. Pavel M.
