Locality: Sedalia Mine (Jackpot Adit; Adits Nos. 1-3; Dewey Adit; Sedalia Copper Mine), Sedalia District, Chaffee Co., Colorado, USA

Dodecahedral almandine garnet crystal without matrix. Partial coating of greenish chlorite in some areas. From the classic locality that produced crystals up to 15 cm. This crystal has exaggerated cubic faces making the underlying cubic form apparent. Overall size of mineral specimen: 5x5x4.5 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5 cm.
