A very fine, isolated, 3 mm crystal of Prussian-blue Boleite, from this best US occurrence of the mineral, along with some green Atacamite crystals and Cerussite. The photograph depicts a small portion of a superb miniature-sized example from the “anomalous” oxidized sequence of minerals for which this locality is so well known. The minerals of this sequence were first discovered in May 1943, and the mine ceased production in 1953 (Reference: Bideaux, Richard A., (1980), Famous Mineral Localities: Tiger, Arizona, Mineralogical Record, Vol 11, pp 155-181). With this specimen is an old Minerals Unlimited (Berkeley, California) label with a price of $1.00! It is from the collection of Jack L. Parnau, and is presently in the collection of (and photographed by) Robert O. Meyer, specimen number B23-10.
