Locality: Catawba Valley, Virginia, USA

Feathery tan-colored calcite completely covering a thin plate of matrix in a rounded, cylindrical shape. Very clean, no damage. Ex. Dr. E. Sensel collection #G519. Overall size of mineral specimen: 11x9x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 1-2 mm.
