Variscite : AlPO4·2H2O

A polished slice of a Variscite nodule in a pretty pastel green with an irregular outer rind - grey to yellowish green and purple banded - of Wardite and Crandallite. An interesting bulleyes of yellow and purple 4 mm wide is found within the green Variscite. A classic from this location.
