Locality: Leonard Mine, Butte, Butte District, Silver Bow Co., Montana, USA
Excellent specimen of dark blue-black covellite crystals 1 cm each with overgrowth of 1-2 mm pyrite crystals from a classic locale, now long closed. Originally acquired in 1971 from David New, Hamilton, Montana. Ex. Dr. E. Sensel collection #G998. Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x5x5 cm. Size of individual crystals: 1-10 mm.
