Uranpyrochlore


Uranpyrochlore : (U,Ca,Ce)2(Nb,Ta)2O6(OH,F)

Shiny black "ellsworthite" crystals to 15 mm frozen in feldspar matrix. Originally acquired in 1937 from F. Hess. Has accompanying label with results from spectrographic analysis confirming ellsworthite species (Actually this is uranpyrochlore). Ex. Dr. E. Sensel collection #B12. Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x8x5 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-15 mm.
