Locality: Hercules Mine (Hercules Prospect; Hercules Group), Ramona District, San Diego Co., California, USA
A gemmy orange 1.5 cm spessartine on he side of a 3x3x4 cm mound of cleavelandite and smoky quartz. A lustrous well formed schorl crystal is perched on top of the specimen.
